Lascivious AW12 Collection Reviewed

Isla bra, briefs and suspender

The much anticipated AW12 collection from London-based brand, Lascivious launched earlier this week. Lascivious - a British brand that design and produce all of their lingerie in the UK - coax us lovingly towards the autumn months with all new Lola, Isla and Cara.

As is the norm with Lascivious, the AW12 collections consist of pieces that are daring, modern and directional. Designer, Chloe Hamblen, continues a distinctive trend of unique cut-out bras. I particularly like the Isla bra (pictured above) which draws attention to the striking shape with clever use of patent eyelet tape.

Isla long body-piece

Isla is an updated version of the best-selling Lila and claims to feature a new, improved fit in the bra. This I cannot comment on as I am yet to wear either but I can comment on the addition of an all new full-length body-piece (pictured above). Made up of the same patent, eyelet tape, the body-piece is fabulously kinky and the front and back lace-up detail can be tied up in a multitude of ways. This makes it a piece you can really play around with and make your own.

The Lola basque (below) may well be my favourite piece from the entire collection. The side fin detailing creates a distinctive, flattering silhouette. The geometric circle mesh that runs throughout the Lola pieces allows for more well thought out cut-outs and generates super sexy, dramatic shapes that are perfect for hugging existing curves and creating ones you wish you had.

Lola also features footless suspender tights in the same circle mesh. A style that is new to Lascivious and is another example of the provocative nature of this Autumn/Winter collection. These are a far sexier alternative to tights and are bang on trend with suspender detailing.

Bored of black? This is exactly why Cara is a breath of fresh air with its contrasting ivory mesh. A more conventional bra when compared to Lola and Isla but the addition of an interesting chain print and leather bow detail do elevate Cara to something more alluring.

I must admit, I do miss the eye-catching citrus and raspberry tones of last season's Simone and Kitty. Saying that, Lascivious have succeeded here in generating something exciting and unique purely through a clever use of shapes and detailing and I like it a lot.
Cara, Lola and Isla all feature a variety of knicker styles and a matching suspender belt and they can be purchased here on the Lascivious website.

  1. Lascivious speaks to my being. I've got my eye on the Isla high waisted briefs....

I'd love the bra in the same collection, but it doesn't come in my size. One of those occasions where I'd strongly consider sourcing a bra creator who does custom work.
