Trend: High Waisted Knickers!

As I've ran out of new high street lingerie brands for the time being until new seasons come out, I want to talk about high waisted knickers! (This is also because I'm a bit too lazy to do a really great post because with deadlines dawning on me I can't think about anything other than getting that done! But soon enough the better posts will come rolling in and we will have even more to offer!) These are a fabulous addition to anyone's lingerie collection, showing off a vintage figure or enhancing your waist and hips, and the perfect company to a long-line bra. This includes panty-girdles too! If you're looking for retro style lingerie this is perfect ground to kick off on. Gingham Obsessed!

Okay, so I am totally gingham obsessed at the moment. I think my love for gingham started out seeing Brigitte Bardot in a book I had called "Classics of Fashion" wearing a pink gingham dress in Petroleum Girls. I idolize her in every way, still to this day. Her pink gingham wedding dress was iconic and many girls brought that famous picture in to their dressmakers to make an exact replica. She wore her hair loose and wild, and eye-liner rimming her eyes. She was the ultimate sex kitten, and she is positively everything I want to be! Every summer I seek out a gingham swimsuit, and I finally got it yesterday! So to celebrate, my pick of gingham lingerie is right here in place of my usual "How to wear" post (partially because I've ran out of items to talk about, any suggestions are welcome!)

 If you aren’t familiar with the term “loungerie”, it’s in the name really: Lingerie for lounging in. Not just your average pyjama set, loungerie has to be special. The kind of number you might see on a Hollywood starlet relaxing in her boudoir in the golden age of glamour.
