I Heart My Bras - Top Five

This isn't my usual method of bra storage

As I'm always banging on about bras I like, bras I want and bras I think everybody should rush out and get, I thought I should probably share some from my own collection. My favourites change practically every week but these are my top 5 for now! (Warning: Very inexperienced photography coming your way!)

Trend: Triangle Bras

I'm loving the popularity of triangle bras at the moment. As opposed to some other soft-cup bras, they're really flattering on the bust and tie in perfectly with the 'underwear as outerwear' trend (a lot of these bras would look great under a sheer blouse). One of the best places to go for triangle bras is Damaris/Mimi Holliday. They have a great selection in fab colours like the lemon drop bra pictured above right. I also love the scarlet Calvin Klein (top left) with its applique detailing on the cups and the gorgeous lace Intimissimi bra (centre) with pink floral accents.

Calling all the romantics, dreamers, readers of Keats and Shelley and lovers of pink! This is my comprehensive list of lingerie that will make your heart flutter. I adore boudoir lingerie and its fanciful femininity. I love the silks and the lace, the beautiful colours and the extravagant trims like bows and satin ties. I think to key to any lover's lingerie is that it is not only pleasing to the eye but wonderful to touch so the fabrics are really important. I really enjoy layering up my underwear and making a separate outfit of it but once you have the bare basics, what can you add to set off your Aphrodite look?

High Street Pick of the Week: Intimissimi

Intimissimi (bit of a mouthful) is an Italian clothing label which specialises in lingerie. It celebrates the iconic Italian style in delicate pastel hues this season and emulates the romanticism of Italy in the spring! Unfortunately there is only about 4 of these stores in London! But don't let this fool you, as this usually evokes the image of an extremely expensive boutique but no, Intimissimi is still very much affordable and like all the other previous high street shops, does not sacrifice quality for the amount you pay! (I apologise in advance for how tiny the pictures of the items are! I hate this when the website doesn't have decent photographs I can copy for blogging! But no worries because you can zoom in on the items on the item pages, which will, as always, be linked!)
