Oh Baby It's Cold Outside... Lingerie Winter Warmers

As gorgeous as bras and knickers are, in these cold winter months coming up (at least if you're on this side of the equator), it's just not possible to strut around your home in skimpy panties unless you have the central heating turned up full blast and no worry of a hefty gas bill! I know it's tempting to dig out that onesie from last winter and curl up with a cuppa but why sacrifice the glamour and feeling of gorgeous lingerie? Here are some perfect pieces to keep you cosy and feeling like a million dollars. (I might be telling a white lie here about these actually keeping you warm and I'm really just going for beautiful nightwear... but that can be our little secret!)

 We've had two ultra hot days in a row here in London, which means that the British Summer is finally starting to resemble, well summer. Sleeping Beauty: The Lingerie

No, I'm not talking about the Disney classic. This tale I'm talking about is much, much darker. Directed by Julia Leigh and starring Sucker Punch's (and, erm, A Series of Unfortunate Events...) Emily Browning, this 2011 film depicts the haunting life of Lucy. She delves in to the world of the unknown, and unspoken desires. It explores erotica in a severely twisted and uncomfortable way. I recommend watching it purely because it's fascinating and so disturbing that you won't forget it. And also what I'm really here to talk about is lingerie!

Whilst we temporarily ignore the dark plot, Lucy gets a job waitressing at parties in lingerie. The lingerie she and the other waitresses wear is absolutely gorgeous. Whilst she maintains a fetishised virginal image, the other waitresses are more or less the opposite to that. I've tried to source where the lingerie is actually from but I can't find any hint to where! Therefore here is my own interpretations of the lingerie from our favourite brands. (I also should apologise for the "theme" not being dissimilar to Booty's post yesterday!)

Here Comes The Bride!

With the recent influx of fashion-forward bridal lingerie it's no wonder I'm having dreams of white weddings! Whether you've been given a diamond ring or just a ring with diamonds, there's no time like the present to be checking out the fantastic bridal ranges popping up recently. And who cares if there's no ring on your finger because with lingerie this beautiful you don't need an excuse (and if you're getting married soon then you're just lucky!).

 If you aren’t familiar with the term “loungerie”, it’s in the name really: Lingerie for lounging in. Not just your average pyjama set, loungerie has to be special. The kind of number you might see on a Hollywood starlet relaxing in her boudoir in the golden age of glamour.
